Gin lovers, sit down, you’re about to get excited, really, really excited. The spirit has surged in popularity over the past year or two. Inferior quality gin – be gone! There’s a Gin & Tonic Festival coming to town & Summer is about to get a whole lot better.
Pretoria will get it’s chance to taste, swirl & sample some of South Africa’s most exciting local gin distilleries, as well as some well-known international counterparts, taking place at the Gin & Tonic Festival happening in the Tshwane CBD in early November.
The festival starts at 11am, on the 5th of November at the trendy 012 Central Venue in Tshwane’s CBD & runs until 7pm. Apart from sipping on some of the country’s best artisanal gin, there will be a music & entertainment stage featuring top local talent. You’ll also get the chance to learn how to prepare your own cocktails, as well as seeing the best barmen in the industry go head to head in cocktail making competition (as one does at a G&T festival, as one does). Artisanal food will be on offer – many specially designed to pair with the various G&T cocktails on hand, as well as the opportunity to learn from various expert ginsmiths & mixologists (fancy) about what goes into making their particular G&T cocktail unique.
Each festival goer will receive a goodie bag (including a gin booklet & a branded Gin & Tonic Festival glass).
