I’m happy I can still (just) remember a time when fresh milk was delivered to your door. A glass bottle, filled with cold milk, topped with a foil lid, left on the front step at the same time, every morning. A nostalgic food moment I wish my little Baby Bun could experience. Luckily for Bun, this nostalgic food trip became a reality when our very own milk delivery took place. We received a super early wake-up call (6:00am) from two very dapper milkmen last week. Yup, I said milkmen. A Consol Glass bottle filled with deliciously creamy milk from Deneys Swiss Dairy, was delivered to our front door. Cold, fresh, creamy milk in a glass bottle, perfect for the first cuppa of the day!
So why did milkmen deliver a glass bottle of fresh milk to our home? Because Consol wants to Bring Back Pure. Their latest campaign is a delight – fresh milk in glass bottles are delivered by milkmen to homes across Johannesburg & Cape Town, for a limited period only. Why all the fuss about milk in glass bottles? Any ingredient simply tastes better in glass – it maintains freshness, flavour & even retains optimum temperature control. And who doesn’t want that bit of old-school food charm first thing in the morning? Your morning coffee is going to be super happy about all of this.
Bun & I enjoyed our delicious Deneys milk with a chocolate chip cookie or two.
