I think most of us are making a conscious effort to consume less meat. In our home, we try to & meals are always made a lot easier thanks to the now super extended range of Fry’s Family Food. I was lucky enough to receive a scrummy hamper of Fry’s products – thanks team. The yum alert is particularly high here – the range of products have expanded drastically, even including vegan roasts.
The Fry’s brand is all about creating food that is a little (well, a lot) greener & better for the planet. Their brand is certified vegetarian & vegan & makes eating with a more sustainable approach that little bit easier – their goodies are available in the freezer aisle of most supermarkets.
So in that hamper that I mentioned, I spotted the Battered Prawn Style Pieces & came up with this yumm-o dish! I think this is something that will appeal to the whole family…
Prawn Style Wrap With Roasted Lemon Mayo
25og Fry’s Battered Prawn Style Pieces
4 tbsp good quality store-bought mayonnaise
1 lemon, halved
1 small garlic clove, finely chopped
Sea salt & freshly ground black pepper
4 wraps, grilled
Washed baby spinach leaves
Cucumber slices
Sliced spring onions
Fried, crispy onion pieces
Ok, this is just too easy. Cook the Prawn Style Pieces according to packaging instructions (I chose to oven bake mine). Grill the lemon halves in a griddle pan over high heat for 5 minutes or until caramelised. Grill the wraps. Combine the may with a squeeze of the caramelised lemon juice, garlic & season well with sea salt & freshly ground black pepper. Mix Mix. Assemble your wrap with a smear of mayo, followed by baby spinach leaves, cucumber, Prawn Style Pieces, spring onions, another dollop of lemony mayo, spring onions & crispy onions.
