Rosemary Breadsticks *I Bought The Dough. It’s So Easy*

December 31, 2015

It’s New Years Eve! Nearly. Many put mammoth effort into their NYE parties & celebrations. Snacks, platters, canapés, nibbles… So if you do intend to get the apron on & prepare a little something something for guests – make sure that at least one of those nibbles will be stress-free & easy. I always fall back on these Rosemary Breadsticks. Shop-bought dough is fabulous. Really fabulous. It’s cheap as chips & why not save on some of the washing up? Serve with a dip or keep things classic by dunking in fruity olive oil & sweet balsamic vinegar. EASY.

This is what I use & how I do it…

Flour, for rolling the dough

1kg shop-bought dough

3 tbsp grated Parmesan

3 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary

Sea salt & ground black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

And then…

Dust a work surface with flour. Place the dough on the surface & add the Parmesan, 2 tbsp rosemary & season with sea salt & ground black pepper. Divide the dough into 10-12 small balls & shape into breadsticks. Place on a lined baking tray, brush with olive oil, scatter with remaining rosemary & season with sea salt & ground black pepper. Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden & crunchy.
