Fact: “Did you know that pizza is a nutritionally complete meal?”.
Who said that? I did, I said that, years and years and years ago when I was still in school and trying to convince my folks that ordering a meal delivered in a brown box was the right nutritional choice for a growing child. Did I win that particular round back in the day? Sometimes I did, not always, but sometimes. But I stick to my original quote. Pizza IS a complete nutritional meal. All of the five main food groups make an appearance, so how could that possibly be wrong? Fats & Oil – (olive oil) – Tick. Fruit & Veg – (hello green pepper & avo) – Tick. Milk & Dairy Products – *CHEESE(s)!* – Tick. Grains & Cereal Products – “cos it’s all about the base, bout the base” – Tick. And finally, Meat, Fish & Other Alternatives – (salami, bacon, and, and, and) – Tick! YUM. Home Ec nutritional lesson over with. Casalotti’s asked me to take part in their #PizzaClub campaign and I was like – “It’s ON”. So what’s this #PizzaClub vibe all about…

Various bloggers were asked to create their ultimate Peeeeezzzzzzaaaaaa! That pizza would be allocated to a particular month, where it would be available for purchase in Casalotti’s stores. I scored September (it’s the most wonderful time of the year). Sales would be tracked and the pizza with the most sales would get a permanent slot on the Casalotti’s menu. I was highly pregnant at the time of submitting my flavour combination. Here’s another interesting little fact for you: A pregnant woman’s sense of flavour combinations is so highly sensitized and amazing… Well now, all I’m saying is my combo is a winna – WINNA! So being part of the #PizzaClub naturally meant that the name of my pizza pie would be The Everything Club – it has everything and more and we all know, “more is more!”. The Casa team was rad enough to send over a The Everything Club box of wonder, as I like to call it – yup, the fam scored big with pizza that night.
